2025 desktop calendar in English
The exhibition Beauties, Ghosts, and Samurai. The Japanese Pop Culture Tradition From Edo Ukiyo-e to Manga, Anime, and Sūpā Furatto in the 20th and 21st Centuries, which attracted considerable attention at the LNMA National Art Gallery, is now available in the form of museum calendars. For 2025, the museum offers visitors five calendar options, including two desktop versions (in Lithuanian and English) and one wall calendar (in Lithuanian). Each month, the calendar showcases a work of popular Japanese culture, ranging from colourful vintage ukiyo-e prints to contemporary comics and children’s game cards, offering a glimpse into the rich diversity of Japanese culture and referencing the recent exhibition. Art enthusiasts of this diverse genre can enjoy the carefully selected exhibition works from the LNMA collection featured in the calendar. For those new to Japanese art, it offers a fascinating introduction to the country’s diverse cultural forms.
